Faith Christian School offers an umbrella program to support families with a desire to homeschool. Through this program, students benefit from independent study while parents retain the freedom to direct and personalize their child’s education.
FCS Responsibilities:
Guide curriculum choices
Access to digital learning platforms
Provide standardized testing opportunities
File and hold permanent records
Parent Responsibilities:
Purchase curriculum
Teaching lessons
Keep a portfolio for each student
Grade assignments
Turn in grades to the admin every quarter
The price for an Umbrella Student is significantly lower than tuition; however, the parent is the main proctor.
The student is considered a student of FCS and is required to pay registration fees.
Other changes will apply, such as the purchase of digital hours, curriculum, supplies, tutors, and any other tools that may enhance student success.
Teachers do not participate in the umbrella student’s academic progress.
